VOLUNTEER

AT CHAMBALABAMBA

Volunteer Program In Vilcabamba, Ecuador

Chambalabamba welcomes volunteers. We appreciate people with an artistic spirit who are creative and passionate about what they do. We are looking for builders, carpenters, horticulturists, musicians, artists, engineers, scientists, trauma specialists, and videographers. We need committed people who can work cooperatively with others to achieve the goals and projects we set as a community. The minimum time allotment to stay as a volunteer is one month. There is a two-day trial period to see if you are a right fit for our community and if the community is a right fit for you. The cost is $5 per night. If, after the two-day trial period, both you and the community are satisfied, you may stay on as a volunteer. For those wishing to stay longer than a month, if there is space and the community agrees, you may stay. The cost is $20 per week plus a $10 deposit. The deposit is returned at the end of your stay (minimum one month) when sheets and blankets are returned clean and in good condition. Community lunch is served Monday through Friday. Flour, oatmeal, and panela (a locally-grown cane sugar) is available to use in your other meals. Cleaning and maintenance of the property are responsibilities shared equally by all who live here. If you sign up for our volunteer program, please confirm your date of arrival and departure. You must also reconfirm your arrival one week before you arrive. If we do not receive confirmation, your place will be made available to other volunteers.
