Regenerative Agriculture

We are practicing regenerative agriculture and have many composts around the property.

Espacio de Niños

We are currently building a first-class facility to serve the children of both Chambalabamba and the community. These leaders of tomorrow will learn in a healthy, toxic-free environment.

Alternative Education

We are always evolving since we started with the Pestalozzi method 6 years ago. Now, we wish to help the children become autodidacts so that they will know how to learn whatever they like and we hope to inspire interest in a multitude of subjects with the help of VR to engage them. They can learn concepts like trust, respect, love through playing games that we make up.

Medicinal Gardening

We grow and harvest over 100 different medicinal plants. With our own laboratory, we want to distil our own extracts to produce medicinal products by a sustainable, environmentally-friendly process.

Construction

We are engaged in many projects and events: Building an addition to the space for children with the idea to open for all of Vilcabamba in May. This is a large bioconstruction wall on the first floor.

Alternative Construction

We are experts with bioconstruction. But we also like to try other forms of construction as well. We use rocks, soil, dry plant material, bamboo, and wood.

Built 3 large walls to protect from flash floods

This is the rainiest rain season in many a year, and the weight of the hills filled with water that border the river in Podecarpus park causes landslides that block the river, when it breaks through we have a powerful flash flood that jeopardizes our houses along the river.

This past year we built 3 large walls to protect the land from flooding.
