​Our Location

​Walking to Chambalabamba (1609 MSL):
When standing in the central plaza with the church on your right, walk along the bottom street towards the traffic light. Continue on this same road for about 1.5 miles/2.4 kilometers until you come to the Yamburara Alto neighborhood. After about a 45-minute walk, you will see a small, yellow chapel on the right. The entrance to Chambalabamba is also on the right, about 650 feet/198 meters past the chapel. Turn in through the large metal gate and walk down the steep driveway towards the river. Our community is an 8-minute walk from the gate.

​Taxi to Chambalabamba:
The easiest, fastest option is to take a taxi from town for $ 3. These are the white 4×4 trucks with a green stripe. Simply tell the taxi driver «Chambalabamba.» Everyone knows it. Ask him to take you all the way down to the «parking lot.» Follow the path at the far end of the parking lot and you will soon see us.
