Chambalabamba is an ecologically-friendly community united in our desire to create a better world for ourselves, Mother Earth, and future generations. We are actuated by three guiding principles: unity, harmony, and personal integrity. In searching for a new paradigm that combines freedom with personal responsibility, our community is founded upon sociocracy as a complementary form of self-organization.
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life…” – Henry David Thoreau
A life well-lived is a life rich with memories. Chambalabamba offers radical living at its best. Living close to the land with others of like-minds provides opportunities to:
To approach life with humility, compassion, and a sense of humour. To support one another in the fulfillment of our personal and collective destinies.
We do not require a traditional (and easily corruptible) vertical government. Rather, we embrace the principle of sociocracy as the best way to harmonious and fulfilling community living.
A “system of government in which the interests of all members of society are served equally.”
We are grateful to everyone who has partnered with us to make a difference.
