If I could speak to billions of people: What touches me most are acts of kindness, acts of love. What hurts me most are acts of cruelty and injustice. Maybe you are similar. These extraordinary times seem to be about redemption, the consequences of our acts as a species and as individuals.
Throughout history, there has been tyranny, injustices, and insanity. Insanity because "fouling one's nest" makes no sense, when we are completely dependent on natural resources. When the white people came to the shores of what we now call the United States, all the rivers and nature was pristine, and within a few hundred years almost if not all the rivers and all the bodies of water have been polluted, the native population was decimated and essentially destroyed, etc., etc. Then and now we do the same in other countries, having built an arsenal greater than all others which we have used to murder millions, destroyed whole societies, create monumental migration problems, while stealing their resources all in the name of freedom. We have stood by while thousands of species have gone extinct due to our actions. We can blame our leaders, we can blame our system, we also need to blame ourselves, having been complicit for not having done enough to end this horrific and insane behavior. And now we face both extinction and totalitarianism. The powers that be, are so powerful that we, those of us who see the errors of our ways, are impotent and must bow to their mercy, which clearly does not exist. One could say that the ship of fools which we call humanity are all going to their just reward. And people can only grasp at straws and indulge in wishful thinking. But while we are breathing there is always hope. Hope is the antidote to despair. Our hope lies in our ability to self organize and radically change the course of the ship that is so close to the precipice, to the crashing, tragic end as a species that has terrorized all life. We live in a world gone insane. People don't know what to do. Many have lost their incomes and fear for their lives. They place their faith in anyone that gives them hope for survival, submitting to the will of the corrupt authorities. This is more or less our current situation. A tiny percentage of us can see through the smoke and illusions, and it is only us that might save the day, if we can strategize effectively, assuming that we also are not self-deluded. Obviously, at least to me, is that we must self organize, create a giant web of collaboration, a force for good, good being a rather vague term, meaning a force for restructuring how we govern top down, vertically to self governing bottom up, horizontally which would eliminate politicians and lobbyists, be much more democratic, effective, efficient, and virtually incorruptible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wywMhg604W8&feature&fbclid=IwAR3HcZvrdRJvRNqMRZ3m6t3hvuac7bTXlxnQn-WjutSbWoWXOw7iW7AAEd4. As well as restructuring our economy to incentivize cooperation, collaboration, and compassion, for the benefit of the whole. In order to do this, we need to use our current technology to connect all the disparate groups and organizations working to do this, with state of the art tools for collaboration and organizing, a network of networks. utopiacornucopia.org
