In 1958 Aldous Huxley, the great English author who wrote Brave New World in 1931 which demonstrates how psychological manipulation and classical conditioning are combined to make a dystopian society which is challenged by only a single individual (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alasBxZsb40) .
George Orwell in the 40's wrote 1984 and Animal Farm, 2 classics that are also about how humans could be enslaved without them recognizing the fact that they are enslaved and instead imagine that they are free (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caCkMX6YdYU).
How this is the ultimate way to control and how the media, films, music, education, religion, even the culture are all manipulated and manufactured (Noam Chomsky - Manufacturing Consent - YouTube, such that humans are made to believe in lies that are repeated over and over, presented as facts, assumed to be correct by all and everyone, and thus humanity is managed without the need for naked brute force, though the naked, brute force is always there, ready to be used if necessary. It's like having a gun up your sleeve.
After years of continuous programming, humanity is being herded into an inescapable dystopia completely unawares that could be leading us towards our only possible escape which would be extinction. This seems to be the horrible reality that we are facing now.
Government and the economy are intertwined, they are the 2 headed eagle or dragon that often is used as a symbol of governments. Most people still don't recognize how capitalism, which intentionally always has more workers than jobs, which always keeps wages down to the minimum. Nowadays, many families need both the father and mother to hold jobs to have an income sufficient enough for the basic needs. Slaves before the Civil War were often given the very minimum to be able to exist and work.
When naked slavery was too unsavory for the sensibilities of the times, it was replaced with wage slavery, which was a modernized form where shackles and guards were no longer necessary and people would voluntarily go to their offices and places of work in their "pursuit of happiness" with the hope and dream of some day becoming rich enough to not have to work and to be able to pay people to do all of their work. The carrot on a stick strategy. And when people rebelled, they just used the stick and brutalized strikers and unions. This is our history.
For centuries governments have committed atrocities, the most glaring is waging war and destroying whole societies, murdering millions, and creating world wide refugees. People were propagandized into accepting this as necessary, as preserving their "liberty and freedom". So, the manipulation of the public is nothing new, it has only become much more refined, sophisticated, ubiquitous, and powerful.
This is modern tyranny. People think of tyranny as Hitler and Mussolini, they both used propaganda very successfully as well, but they relied on naked brute force. huge robot-like armies and brutal police. The tyrannical governments still have all that and once they can use actual robots instead of humans, they will be even more formidable because with humans there is always the hope and possibility that they will side with the people and abandon the corrupt government.
The government is making life untenable if you don't submit to them jabbing something into your body that they call a vaccine. This is tyranny, invading the sovereignty of our bodies. But no one seems to recognize this or speak about it. We have been conditioned to accept our voluntary slavery, to accept brutal war, and now to accept tyranny. It is a terrifying situation, exactly like the protagonist Winston Smith experienced in Orwell's 1984 in which he was eventually and inevitably crushed and subsumed into the heartless, tyrannical system (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9k_ptxWsadI).
All the rebellions, revolutions, protests, and insurrections have not stopped humanity from being swept into this dystopic state. One big reason is that changing of the guard does not work, as the new people in government can easily be manipulated by bribes or intimidation, as history has affirmed. To finally avoid this, I believe we must restructure all governments from vertical top down to horizontal bottom up, eliminating politicians and lobbyists, decentralized, much more truly democratic, effective, and efficient: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wywMhg604W8.
Our only hope I believe, is to unify digitally like minded individuals and organizations by the millions to the billions with state of the art tools for collaboration and organizing. This however, is a daunting task that we and others are attempting to create and which may need at least another year before it is ready to launch. People at the same time are working on creating a new "clean" internet and a new kind of facebook which is uncensored and not utilizing our personal data to make a profit. These are all in the works and take a lot of time to manifest with the complexities of coding. utopiacornucopia.org
